| Frank E. Wilber of Webster, J. D. Purdy of Schenectady, New York and Charles T. Hall of West Palm Beach, Florida purchased the 101 acres known as Killdeer Island from the Slaters, reportedly for approximately $30,000. Lots for summer cottages along the 16,000 feet of waterfront were sold at public auction. Advertised price was as low as $200 for a 50 by 150 ft. lot | |
